Meeting Minutes

March 11, 2012

1. Call to order

Shubhdev Singh, secretary, called to order the special meeting of all the registered members of Sikh Gurdwara at 1:30 PM on March 11, 2012 in Sikh Gurdwara, Rochester Hills, Michigan. The notice of this meeting was sent to all registered member two weeks prior to the meeting and announcements were made in previous assemblies to the congregation about this upcoming meeting and its intent.  Bhai Manohar Singh Ji performed the Ardas to seek guidance from Guru and Waheguru to conduct the meeting in truthful manner

The following persons were present: Ajmel Singh, Husninder Singh, Arvinder Singh, Shubhdev Singh, Kulvinder Singh, Rajinder Singh, Dalbir Singh, Harpal Singh, Shubhdev Singh, Jagmohan Singh (By Phone), Raminder Singh, Gurbax Singh, Tejinder Kaur, Manohar Singh, Chattarpal Singh, Simran Kaur, Jasdeep Singh, Joginder Singh, and Navdeep Kaur

1. Agenda

To amend the existing constitution as per rules laid in the constitution to make it more robust and sustainable

1. Presenter, presentations, and decisions

a)      Ajmel Singh Ji presented the amendment to the constitution as prepared by the constitution committee

b)      He explained the process, time line and efforts that were put forward to amend the constitution

c)      He went over the purpose and structure of constitution, membership, office bearers, their qualifications, term, roles and responsibilities

d)     Everybody was given opportunity to present their view point on the amendments

e)       All present members unanimously approved the amendment to the constitution

f)       Amended copy is available at Gurdwara Sahib

1. Adjournment

Shubhdev Singh adjourned the meeting at 3:30 PM
